Northwestern Ontario Municipalities continue to play the waiting game on the location of a youth correctional facility.
The Province announced plans for the centre almost 2 years ago, but everyone is still waiting to hear where the facility will be built.
A Spokesperson with the Ministry of Public Safety and Security says changes within the Ministry has slowed the proccess.
She says the Minister is also reviewing Young Offender programs and has not indicated if that includes the continuation of a correctional facility in the Northwest.
Dryden, Atikokan, Sioux Lookout, Kenora and Fort Frances are among the communities vying for the centre which would provide about 50 jobs and inject nearly $4.5 million into the economy.
