More than 12-municipalities in Northwestern Ontario remain on pins and needles as the province reviews proposals for a youth detention facility.
The Ministry of Corrections says they continue to review all proposals but state they do plan to build one or two facilities in the Northwest.
The delay is due to the events of September 11th and its impact on the provinces economy.
The privately run facility is expected to provide up to 50-jobs and 4.3-million dollars annually to the winning bidder.
Dryden, Kenora, Atikokan and Fort Frances are the expected front runners.
