Youth Suicide Remains a Problem

The youth suicide rate in Nishnwabe-Aski Nation Territory continues
to climb.
According to statistics released at the Native Youth Suicide Conference
in Thunder Bay, 25 young people took their own life in 2006, nearly double
the national average.
A NAN Spokesperson says one of the goals of this week’s event is to ensure youth have a supportive outlet.
