You might notice some unusual activity in the skies around the Kenora district over the next few days.
17 Wing based out of Winnipeg and 8 Wing out of Trenton will be carrying out Search and Rescue training exercises over
the next few days.
The Transport and Rescue squadrons will be joined by a Combat Support crew.
They will be doing parachute training, dropping rescue equipment and colored ribbon and practicing
all aspects or Search and Rescue operations.
You’ll also might notice a Hercules aircraft doing some pattern flying over the course of the training period.
The training exercise will begin today and continue until Monday.
