Black History Month Exhibit At Dryden Museum

Black History Month is being recognized by the latest exhibit coming to the Dryden and District Museum.

It is a travelling exhibit from the Archives of Ontario about Enslaved Africans in Upper Canada.

Cultural and Tourism Coordinator Bethany Waite says the exhibit will be taking place from 4th to the 29th of February.

She says the exhibit will focus on the lives of enslaved Africans and the actions that were taken to resist their servitude.

Waite also says they will be playing the movie “Journey to Justice” from the 4th to the 14th followed by “Speaker for the Dead” from the 18th to the 29th.

The movies will be played from 10am to 2pm on those days.
