Region Will Be Represented At Tokyo Olympics

Kenora’s Gabe Mastromatteo is headed to Tokyo.

The 19-year-old had his name called Thursday morning as Swimming Canada officially announced their roster for the upcoming Olympic Games.

Mastromatteo currently swims for the University of Toronto Varsity Blues.

The Kenora Swimming Shark performed very well at the Swim Canada Olympic Trials this week, winning the 100m breaststroke and finishing ninth in the 200m breaststroke.

It hasn’t been announced exactly what event he’ll be swimming in at this point.

The Tokyo Olympics are set to take place July 23 through to August 8.
