24 New Cases Of COVID-19

There are now 61 active cases of COVID-19 in the Northwestern Health Unit catchment area.

According to the NWHU website, health officials have also updated their reporting back to health hubs and there’s three current hospitalizations in the region.

There are 24 new cases across the region, with 12 in the Fort Frances Health Hub, 10 in the Kenora Hub and two in the Rainy River Hub.

Fort Frances – 27

Kenora – 20

Rainy River – 4

Emo – 2Meanwhile, there are 2,421 new infections in Ontario with 758, or 23%, coming from those who aren’t fully vaccinated and 133 from individuals with an unknown vaccination status.The Thunder Bay District reports six new cases putting their active count at 60.
