Three people were injured in separate boating collisions over the
weekend.
Dryden OPP say a 13-year-old Nebraska boy was seriously hurt when he
was thrown from a vessel on Clay Lake after the operater suddenly cut the
throttle.
He suffered serious head injuries after striking the propeller.
He was transported to Hospital in Dryden and was later airlifted to a
Hospital in Duluth.
In the second incident, two boats collided on the West Arm of Eagle
Lake.
The driver of one of the vessels, Bill Buckley of Iowa, and a passenger
were taken to Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
No one on the second boat was injured.
Police are investigating both collisions and say none of the
passengers in both cases were wearing a life jacket.
