$400,000 for Confederation College

The Provincial Government is hoping more Northwestern Ontario students
become the first in their family to attend a Post-Secondary institution.
The Liberals are giving Confederation College $400,000 to
develop programs to attract first-generation students.
College Spokesperson Reg Jones says they will be working with area
School Boards to recruit eligible students.
Jones says the funding is needed as Northwestern Ontario doesn’t
participate in Post-Secondary education as highly as other jurisdictions.
Jones says not many Colleges received the funding, so it came as a surprise.
