It’s time to get ready for Fire Prevention Week.
As CKDR told you yesterday, the Dryden Fire Service will be out in the community this upcoming week promoting fire safety.
Meanwhile, Information Officer Reagan Breeze says Fire Prevention Week falls on the anniversary of the great Chicago Fire in 1871.
Breeze says all of the buildings were built out of wood back then, and the fire pretty much destroyed the entire city.
On a more positive note, Breeze says they will be at Walmart from 10 until 2 today for the official kick-off to Fire Prevention Week.
