A 24 year old Winnipeg man faces careless driving charges follwing a three vehicle accident near Kenora.
The O.P.P. say the collision took place Friday afternoon around 4:00 when a vehicle tried to make a left-hand turn onto Inglis Road.
Police say the driver of a pick-up truck, failed to slow down for the turning vehicle, because he was talking on a cellphone.
The pick-up ran into the back of the car and sent it into the path of an on-coming tractor-trailor unit.
The driver of the semi tried to avoid the car, but ended up hitting passenger side.
The female driver of the car had to be airlifted to Lake of the Woods District Hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
