Alzheimer’s Launching Local Volunteer Speakers Program

The Alzheimer’s Society of Kenora-Rainy River Districts has gotten funding for a unique project.

The project is called the “Volunteer Speakers Bureau,” and it will give seniors the opportunity to become volunteer speakers in their communities.

It’s also being used as a means for networking.

The Alzheimer’s Society is hoping to begin presentations starting in October and running through March of next year.

The project was funded thanks to a $5,000 grant.
