An Amber Alert is over and a 37-year-old Brandon, Manitoba man has been arrested following a domestic dispute at a home in the Rainy River district.
Provincial Police were called to a Chapple Township residence Saturday night and police learned a man fled the scene in a vehicle with a 3-year-old girl.
An Amber Alert was issued overnight. Officers received information on their whereabouts and arrested the accused with no problems.
Police say the girl was in good health and not harmed.
OPP say Brad Farand has been charged with three counts of assault, one count of choking to overcome resistance, one count of mischief, one count of taking a vehicle without consent, and one count of impaired driving.
He has also been charged with two Highway Traffic Act violations.
Farand is in custody for a court appearance Tuesday.
Police thank the public for their help during the Amber Alert.
