The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is seeking the public’s help in identifying the person responsible for shooting and abandoning a bull moose northeast of Ear Falls.
Last Saturday, conservation officers found the dead animal near Slate Lake, near kilometre marker 70 on Wenasaga Road.
The nose and tongue had been removed from the carcass while the rest was left to spoil.
This is the third reported case in this district in October, the second in the Ear Falls area.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the MNRF or Crime Stoppers at 1-877-847-7667, 1-800-222-8477, 807-727-2253.
