Northwest Airlines is the latest air carrier to pull out of Sunset Country.
The American airline has been operating summer flights between Minneapolis and Kenora for the past few years.
However, a Kenora Airport spokesperson says Northwest is pulling the service this year over concerns about the lack of security measures and a delay in reinstating customs service in Kenora.
Last fall, Manitoba-based Calm Air cancelled its Winnipeg-Dryden-Thunder Bay flights citing stiff competition and a sharp decline in air travellers following 9-11.
Bearskin Airlines added Dryden to Winnipeg flights a few weeks later.
