Another Day Of Ice In Thunder Bay

A notice to travellers headed to Thunder Bay.

Environment Canada’s Rob Kuhn says the Lakehead is in store for more freezing rain Thursday morning.

Another system is now crossing Lake Superior from the United States.

It will bring a second round of freezing rain and ice pellets around 8:00am-9:00am.

Kuhn says the City will have the freezing rain and ice pellets for at least eight or nine hours.

Snowfall will follow the storm.

Wednesday’s storm closed schools, government offices and some businesses and forced pockets of hydro outages.

All schools are once again closed today.

Some flights out of the Thunder Bay Airport have been cancelled or delayed.
