A perfect opportunity for one high school student to spend a year overseas.
The Dryden Rotary Club is accepting applications for the 2014 Rotary Exchange program.
Exchange Student Counsellor Peter Keen was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Wednesday and he stated the program is open to anyone aged 16-18.
Keen says the applicants must have a real interest and be prepared for the challenge of living in a different country and learning a new language for a year.
He notes they are also looking for community leaders.
Keen says the Rotary program as so far spanned 12 different countries, with a student going to Sweden this year.
He stresses the program has been a huge success.
Each year, Dryden Rotary takes in a foreign student who spends a year learning our culture.
The deadline to apply is September 25th.
