Area Volunteers Thanked at Special Ceremony

It was a special evening Tuesday for 39-hard working and dedicated individuals from across the Kenora District.
The Province hosted the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards at the Dryden Auditorium.
Program Lead for the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration Colleen Moran says these people are the back-bone of our community.
Moran adds it’s important to hold this type of event as our volunteers don’t get the recognition they deserve.
Miles Hoffman of Pickle Lake was singled out as he received a Local Hero Volunteer Award.
Dryden’s Bob Bunney received special recognition for 40-years of service with the Rotary Club.
