Plans to create an Area Services Board in the Kenora District have been put on hold.
Dryden City Manager Arie Hoogenboom says the decision was made at a meeting held last week to discuss the issue.
Hoogenboom says there was an agreement that a rep from the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines should be at the table to help clarify some specific issues.
One of the main issues is deciding population numbers for the unorganized areas, which is important when the ASB proposal comes to a vote and needs a double majority to be approved.
