Asthma Society Of Canada Releases App

A new app called AsthmaToday being released by the Asthma Society of Canada with the goal of providing more information to caregivers and patients relating to asthma and healthy living.

Advocacy and Communications Manager Tom Barades says the app includes a symptom tracker, which allows people with asthma to record their symptoms and email it to themselves in the form of a graphical chart that they can print and bring it to their physician.

“The app is going to continue to evolve, this is a first release we’ve had a lot of people asking for it. You know we’re pretty optimisistic that we’re going to get a good reaction to it and based on the feedback we get from the users we’re going to continue to develop it,” says Barades.

Barrades says the app also tracks air quality, the UV index, humidity, and temperature.

Asthma affects more than 3-million children and adults in Canada.
