Atikokan Submits Claim For Disaster Funding

The Township of Atikokan has assessed the damage, gathered the claims and is ready to apply for emergency funding.
The Province declared Atikokan and other Northwestern Onatrio communities a disaster area after severe flooding in June.
Atikokan Mayor Dennis Brown says council has determined the flooding cost the township 370-thousand dollars for municipal property.
Atikokan will submit the claim to the Ontario Disaster Relief Assistance Program.
