Northwestern Ontario can expect traditional fall
temperatures, according to Environment Canada.
Climatologist Jim Cook says the average temperature in
August was 17.8 degrees, only half a degree cooler than
normal.
Cook says Kenora saw near normal precipitation levels
last month.

Red Lake and Pickle Lake saw over 100 millimetres of
rain, 30 millimetres more than normal.
Meanwhile, Dryden saw 54.5 millimetres of rain, which
was 30 mm less than the normal for the period. It was the
driest August since 2005.
