Bar Owners Balk At Longer Hours

Dryden area bar owners are not exactly raising a glass to the idea of longer bar hours in Ontario.
The Eves Government is considering a change in liqour laws allowing bars to close at 4-AM instead of the present 2-AM.
Lucy Schlecht, co-owner of the Patricia Inn, says longer hours will mean patrons will visit later at night.
Bob Ewonchuk, owner of the Central Saloon, says the move will mean increased wage costs.
He notes if other things such as off-sale beer and video lottery terminals should be considered if liquor laws are changed.
