Municipal leaders in northwestern Ontario have made it clear that they don’t think the new Municipal Partnership Fund is fair.
At the annual N.O.M.A. meeting last week, several provincial cabinet ministers heard that the transfer payments to municipalities fall far short of what is needed.
Northern Development and Mines Minister Rick Bartolucci promised he will take that message back to Queen’s Park.
