Dryden area gunsmith Bruce Montague will enter arguments in Kenora
Superior Court Monday afternoon to have Canada’s Firearms Act declared
unconstitutional and keep him out of jail.
Montague was arrested in 2004 at a Dryden gun show and was later charged
with 53-weapons related offences.
He says after a decade fighting Bill C-68, he’s excited to present a
strong case to have the expensive and ineffective legislation off the books.
However, if found guilty, he could face a sentence ranging from 1 to
18-years in jail.
