NDP Leader Howard Hampton wants the McGuinty Government to upload the
cost of social services.
Hampton says local taxpayers are tired of paying for services the
Provincial Government should be handling.
The Kenora-Rainy River MPP says the Province has a large revenue base and can
find other ways to pick up the cost of seniors housing, health and social
services.
Hampton stresses there is no other jurisdiction in North America that
relies on property taxes for essential services.
