Outdoor enthusiasts across northwestern Ontario are being urged to share their experiences on the water.
BOATsmart is asking people to showcase their favourite boating, lake or cottage moment and picture on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook by using #BoatSmartMoment.
Spokesperson Cameron Taylor says in addition to showcasing the region to all of Canada, they are also raising money for a great cause.
Taylor says they will donate $1 to send disadvantaged kids to camp with each posting.
He says their goal is to raise a minimum of $10,000.
BOATsmart also wants to ensure local boaters stay safe on the water this summer.
The group will be at the Canadian Tire in Dryden Saturday from 10 until 2 as part of a nation-wide awareness campaign.
Taylor says they will also be promoting boating safety as well as rules and regulations.
You will also be able to take the mandatory pleasure craft operators exam as boating without the licence will cost you at least $250.
