Work is underway to set up a Northern Caucus for the federal Liberal Party in Ontario.
Newly elected Kenora MP Bob Nault says the Grits now have good representation in the region, but they may need some guidance along the way.
Nault says he’s working with the seven Liberal MP’s in Northern Ontario on the transition to Parliament.
Five of those are newcomers.
Nault says his goal is to keep the lines of communication open as they work towards a common goal.
Nault is also starting to focus on some key local issues, including the twinning of Highway 17 between Kenora and the Manitoba boundary.
