Boise Inc. Sells For Roughly $2 Billion

New owners and operators for the Boise Mill in International Falls.
Boise Spokesperson Virginia Aulin says Packaging Corporation of America has agreed to purchase the Boise Inc. for $2 billion.
Aulin says the board decided that the offer at $12.55 a share to acquire the company is a very good way to deliver value to shareholders.
The sale includes all of Boise’s papermill and packaging assets, as well as sales and distribution.
Aulin says they hope to have the deal finalized by the end of the year, and there’s no immediate word of possible layoffs.
