Bombardier Workers Take Strike To Toronto

With finished Rocket subway cars leaving the Montreal Street Thunder Bay Bombardier plant this week, striking workers are in Toronto to put the pressure on the Toronto Transit Commission.
They want the TTC to not accept the vehicles assembled by replacement workers and to pressure municipal and provincial governments to urge the employer to reconsider the bargaining sticking point over pensions.
They’ll be picketing in Toronto for the next three days at a variety of TTC stations.
The strike is now into its fifth week.
