An alcohol ban is in place at provincial parks throughout the region.
The May long weekend marks the opening for camping.
Parks Spokesperson Greg Wilson says drinking has been embargoed for several years now to prevent people from drinking and driving, as well as promote a quiet opening weekend to enjoy park amenities and surrounding nature.
The alcohol ban is in place at Blue Lake, Rushing River, Sleeping Giant, Aero Lake and Silver Falls until tomorrow.
