Boshcoff believes RRFN’s has bright future

Relationships between the Rainy River First Nations and the senior levels of government are already improving according to Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP Ken Boshcoff.

The historic land claim agreement was a long time coming and Boshcoff feels ill will has passed and the First Nations can look forward to a bright future.

Rainy River First Nations Chief Al Hunter believes the 71 million dollar settlement will help sustain and expand the economy for aboriginal people and their neighbours.

More than 18-thousand hectares of land is part of the agreement, some of which will be sold on a willing-buyer/willing-seller basis over the next 40 years.
