This is the last week to apply for a ‘Christmas Cheer’ hamper.
Applications are available at the Dryden Volunteer Centre, the Food Bank, Ontario Works and the Dryden Native Friendship Centre.
Program Director Peggy Howard was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Tuesday to talk about the program.
Howard says they average around 340-families per year, and over 350-kids are helped out each year.
Howard adds they are seeking donations for the program.
She says they are accepting cash and non-perishable food items, as well as toys.
Howard says volunteers are also needed to help in the preparation and delivery of hampers.
Donations can be dropped off at the Volunteer Centre from Monday-Thursday 12-4pm and if you’re willing to help out call 223-5995.
