Canada Post workers are now on rotating strikes in different parts of the country.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers says 24-hour job action is being held starting Monday in Halifax, Victoria, Edmonton, Windsor and Edmonton.
Northwestern Ontario communities aren’t impacted at this time.
Canada Post says in the areas where the rotating strikes are being held, mail and parcels will not be delivered or picked up.
The union has been negotiating collective agreements with Canada Post for almost a year.
Key demands are job security, an end to forced overtime and overburdening, better health and safety measures, service expansion and equality for rural and suburban mail carriers.
The union represents around 50,000 Canada Post employees.
