Unionized postal workers and Canada Post will sit-down this weekend in an effort to settle an on-going labour dispute.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers says it still hasn’t received a response from Canada Post to offers proposed two weeks ago.
It included annual wage increases of 3.5%, the elimination of contracting out of rural routes and proposals to expand services to include banking, postal service for Indigenous communities and broadband Internet.
Both the interim president of Canada Post and the president of the union have agreed to sit in on the weekend meetings.
