Some positive results for local runners at the annual Northwestern Ontario Mt. Evergreen Fall Classic Cross-Country Race in Kenora Thursday.
Dryden athletes cleaned up in the Senior Boys Grade 11 and 12, 7.2-kilometre race, with Nick Peters finishing first.
Tanner Henderson came in third, Mike Leutschaft fourth and David Powell fifth.
Sioux Lookout’s Gabe Otta finished second.
In the Junior Boys 5.4-kilometre event, Charles Darling of Sioux North High School ran away with a third place finish.
Some 100-athletes from Grade 7 to 12 took part in the event.
