Ontario Cabinet Minister and Kenora-Rainy River MPP Greg Rickford is expected to make an announcement Friday.
Rickford will be in Grassy Narrows First Nation at 12:45pm.
He will be joined by Grassy Narrows Chief Rudy Turtle and Chief John Paishk of White Dog First Nation as well as Ontario Regional Chief RoseAnee Archibald.
The contents of the announcement aren’t known, however both communities have been battling with the province on the clean-up of mercury from the English-Wabigoon River system.
