CN plans to spend $2.7-billion over the next year on upgrades to its rail lines and facilities across Canada.
$1.4-billion will be used specifically on such things as replacing existing tracks and bridges.
$800-billion will be spent to improve rail yards, intermodal terminals and distribution centres.
