Catholic District School Board Does Well In Testing

Encouraging results for the Northwest Catholic District School Board in the latest reading, writing and math test results.
The Education Quality and Accountability Office is out with the latest test results for grade 3 and 6 students.
The Catholic Board is at or near the provincial level in all areas.
Grade 6 students excelled in the exams as 67% of Grade 6 students were at or above the provincial standard in math, while the Ontario average was 54%.
There was a 78% success rate in Grade 6 reading, just shy of the Ontario mark.

Grade 3 Reading: Board 65% (2012-2013 64%); Province 70%
Grade 3 Writing: Board 71% (2012-2013 70%); Province 78%
Grade 3 Math: Board 55% (2012-2013 58%); Province 67%
Grade 6 Reading: Board 78% (2012-2013 74%); Province 79%
Grade 6 Writing: Board 73% (2012-2013 63%); Province 78%
Grade 6 Math: Board 67% (2012-2013 62%); Province 54%
