Catholic School Board Creates A History Book

The Northwest Catholic District School Board is launching a new history book.
Director of Education Mary-Catherine Kelly says it’s part of their 15th anniversary as an amalgamated school board.
She says the book is meant to celebrate the 120-year history of Catholic education in Northwestern Ontario and the history of the parish communities and how the schools have developed.
The book was created using board archives, local history books and collections of memorabilia over the years.
Kelly says the book will not be for sale, but instead it is distributed throughout catholic schools across the region and to staff.
