Catholic Teachers Seeking Conciliation

The end of the school year brings news of the union representing Ontario’s catholic elementary teachers seeking conciliation in their contract talks with the province and the school boards.

The Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association says its frustrated by the lack of progress in those talks.

President James Ryan is hopeful filing for conciliation will provide the push necessary for negotiations to continue and avoid any potential disruption to classes this fall.

Catholic teachers voted 94% in favour strike action in April.
