Charges Laid Following Theft At Kenora Hotel

Provincial Police in Kenora have arrested a 51-year-old man in connection to a theft from a local hotel.

Police say they were notified about a break-in to the hotel on Highway 17 in the on December 27th.

Employees discovered a large amount of cash had been stolen from the business.

With help from the OPP’s Forensic Identification Unit and Street Crimes Unit, police executed a search warrant on a home in the north end of Kenora.

As a result, officers arrested Marcel Hoffert and charged him with break and enter.
