Child Care Funding for KDSB

Over $386,000 in Provincial funding is being pumped into the Kenora District Services Board to create 24 subsidized child care spaces across the region.
CAO Sten Lif says they will be speaking with local facilities to see who can accommodate the extra spaces.
Lif welcomes the money however notes the funding formula didn’t take into consideration that most facilities are running a deficit.
