Choking Awarness Walk and Petition

The Jacko family has set up an on-line petition asking the Regional
and Chief Coroner to reconsider holding an inquest into their son’s death.
Jordan passed away last April when he choked on his lunch at King
George School in Kenora.
His Father Steve says so far over 600 people have signed the petition
and there are many others who feel changes to the public school system are
needed.
He believes all supervising staff, teachers and support workers
should be required to take first aid and cpr training.
The deadline for signing the petition is the end of the week.
Meanwhile, a Memorial Walk for Jordan Jacko will be taking place Saturday to raise awareness of choking hazards in public schools.
