Now that the provincial budget has been approved, the Mayor of Dryden is looking for a quick response on its funding application for underpass upgrades.
Craig Nuttall says he believes the province is prepared to fund 80% of the upgrades.
Original estimates had the project totaling $800,000.
Nuttall believes the province understands that the upgrades are badly needed as they have seen photos and evidence of the underpass.
He stresses it has become a major safety issue and that’s a number one priority for the government.
