City Of Dryden Preparing For October Vote

The City of Dryden is getting an early jump on this years municipal and school board elections.

Clerk Debra Kincaid says there are a number of changes for the October 22nd vote, including the local introduction of Internet and telephone voting.

Kincaid says they will be providing more information and holding public education sessions in the new future on the new voting method.

She notes the campaign period has been shortened, with the nomination period set for May 1st to July 27th.

Kincaid says candidates must also collect 25-signatures endorsing their nomination.

Campaign contributions to candidates have also gone up from $750 to $1,200.
