Police Seize Oxycodone And Cocaine In Shoal Lake #39

There are growing concerns over illicit drugs in First Nations communities.

That’s according to the Treaty Three Police Service, vowing to identify local community drug dealers, investigate their activities and lay charges.

Police have arrested two people following a drug probe in Shoal Lake #39.

Officers from the Street Crime Unit carried out a traffic stop and seized a quantity of oxycodone pills and cocaine.

Police say a 51-year-old and a 29-year-old man have been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
