Automotive Glass Installer
This is a full-time permanent position Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
Starting wage is $22.00 per hour depending on qualifications. Benefits after successfully completing 90 day probationary period.

Duties/Responsibilities
Auto glass installers perform a variety of tasks to maintain and replace automotive glass components such as windshields, side windows, and rear windows. Main duties include:
- Inspect vehicles for damaged, cracked or chipped glass
- Remove damaged glass carefully to avoid further vehicle damage and clean installation area
- Apply primer and adhesive to the auto glass to ensure secure and leak-free installations
- Installing replacement glass using specialized tools, clips and moldings
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with safety standards
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including proper disposal or hazardous materials like broken glass
- Collaborate with team members to complete larger or complex projects
- Receiving freight, verifying and documenting electronically, putting in proper storage area
- Measuring and cutting Lexan for customer specific orders
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
Successful auto glass installers combine technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills:
- Knowledge of automotive structures, glass types, adhesives and installation tools.
- Strong attention to detail for precise cutting, fitting and installing of automotive glass
- Ability to handle delicate materials with precision and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using manual and power tools
- Technical skills to proficiently remove old or damaged glass, clean the surfaces before installation and correctly install new glass
- Adherence to health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety glasses
- Physical ability to lift 50lbs, maneuver, and install heavy glass components safely
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities under pressure
- Must have a positive attitude and customer service mindset
- Must have good verbal communication skills
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must have strong communications skills
- Driver’s licence is an asset. Driver’s abstract required.
- Be attentive to details
- Must have the ability to work under conditions of frequent interruptions
Education
High school graduate or equivalent
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment
- The ability to left and carry 50bs
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and stretch for prolonged periods as well as the ability to lift heavy glass
- Be aware of work environment: safety hazards, tools, adhesives, heavy crates, etc
