Cliffs Natural Resources Officially Pulling Out Of Ring Of Fire

It’s official, Cliffs Natural Resources is out of the Ring of Fire for good.
Cliffs has announced it’s entered into an agreement to sell its cromite assets in Northern Ontario to Noront Resources for $20-million.
It makes Noront the new powerhouse in the Ring of Fire with the sale adding to its already promising nickel, copper and palladium claims in the region.
Cliffs suspended its operations in the Ring of Fire in 2013 and ended a federal environmental assessment on the project in February.
