Community Health Centre

The McGuinty Government has announced 22 new Community Health Centres
and 17 new Satellite sites in Ontario.
The Northwest Local Health Integration Network has received word they
would be receiving a satellite site in Thunder Bay.
Ministry of Health Spokesperson David Spencer says they will have to
assess whether or not the new site will be able to service the entire
Region.
Money will be doled out for the new project starting next year and
the entire project is expected to be up and running a year later.
The centre will provide Thunder Bay and the surrounding area with a
set of physicians, nurse practioners, registered nurses and councilors.
